These cheddar and chive scones are so delicious! They smell heavenly and taste great served warm with some butter! You will love them!
Serving Size: 8
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
6 tablespoons butter, cubed and chilled
1 bunch of chives trimmed and chopped
1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
⅓ cup cream
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Tabasco
In a bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder.
In a mixer, mix the flour mixture and butter until it crumbles.
Add the chives and cheese to the mixer bowl and combine until incorporated.
Add eggs, cream, Dijon and Tabasco to the mixer and combine until it has an even consistency.
On a well floured surface, form the dough into a large rectangle.
Cut the rectangle in half and cut the halves in half.
Cut each rectangle diagonally into triangles.
Place these triangles on a parchment lined baking sheet with space between them.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
