Our Home

Our Home

I had a lot of fun designing our home. In our living room, I went with classic pieces that we will love forever, all from Restoration Hardware. Dan also had a grandfather clock and drop leaf table to work with, so we also had to take that into account style wise.

I have always love the classic Chesterfield sofa, and upholstering it in a khaki linen blend suits our style well. The chairs are classic and I think they create a nice transition between new pieces and the classic look of the clock. Our table is the perfect size for the room and flows nicely. I found the vases on the mantle at a local shop, Urban Farmhouse Market and love them. They look great with our navy curtains.

Console Table

These ikat lamp shades give this setting a fun look. The mirror is from Pottery Barn. I love the Big Book of Chic topped by this Michael Aram bowl.

Sofa

As I mentioned, our sofa is the Kensington sofa from Restoration Hardware. I am smitten with it. It’s tufted with nailhead trim and has casters on it! I think it looks great with these embroidered pillows.

Dining Rom

I wanted to keep the flow in the two rooms consistent. To achieve this, I ordered the same style tables, kept the window treatments the same and had the upholstered pieces done in the same fabric. I love the traditional look of our table and the nailhead trim on our chairs. I splurgedĀ on this light fixture from Bittners, but I will have it forever, and to me it was worth it. The wings are also from Pottery Barn.

My husband also had this buffet to work with and I feel like the furniture flows pretty well. I am going to change all of the wall colors in the house in the future, so I will be excited to share that later.

Blue Chairs

Our kitchen is an open floor plan and these upholstered chairs, work nicely for me there. The side table is an old find from Merridian. I love having a display of our family photos, it’s fun!

My favorite color is navy and always has been. Some things don’t change! I hope your Thanksgiving is the best yet!
