This summer we are giving our kitchen a facelift and I am excited about it. We chose new counters, new tile, a new sink, a new faucet and new cabinet hardware. We are also having the cabinets repainted white. The interior of our china cabinets will be painted gray so that my all white china will pop. I think the open floor plan will look fantastic with an all white kitchen. It will work nicely with the RH furniture I have in the room.
Have you ever gone on vacation and taken mental notes about the decor? I’ll admit that I have. I saw this large sink at a home we stayed in on spring break and was smitten with it. I love the grate in the bottom. I have been wanting a bridge faucet for a while and ! am going to have a soap dispenser installed too.
I am excited about the Bosch washer and dryer that we ordered for our pantry, which has washer dryer hookups. This will be especially nice because our bedroom is just off the kitchen, so doing our laundry will be a breeze!
We currently have GE Profile appliances and are really happy with the quality, so we chose to stick with GE. We opted for the Cafe line and are really loving the professional look of the pieces. Dan is kind of smitten with the Keurig machine attached to the refrigerator. The dual fuel range should be pretty fun too!
I have always wanted all white counters, but was kind of nervous about getting Cararra marble. We have two children and I like to cook. We selected Taj Mahal granite, which is white with grey veins running through it. It is more durable and more sealed than the marble. We chose to bump out the island 14 inches so that people could eat there too.
I am in love with this herringbone Ann Sacks tile. It’s from the Savoy collection and i chose the Paperwhite color. I am going to have it installed with white grout so that it will be a pretty accent. I have ordered new knobs for the cabinets and pulls for the drawers from Restoration Hardware, but will have to wait to share those.
