Are you a creative type? I am. Do you love to go to the bookstore and browse all through all of the creative books that there are? I do. That is what drew me to these ten creative reads. While my son is at basketball practice, you can find me roaming the cookbook aisle and leafing through fun magazines. I also love the library. They have an amazing app where you can listen to audio books and read magazines on your phone. I use it daily and it is quite the sanity saver for road trips.
I love books on flower arranging, decor, party planning and cooking. Making cool flower arrangements at home is simple when you master some basic steps. The quality of flowers available to the masses is better than ever too. With a little guidance you can have professional results for under twenty dollars.
Cooking is also a really fun creative outlet. I love cookbooks that feature inspiring locations, fun cuisines and vegetarian dishes. The dishes in the Hartwood cookbook are fresh and delicious and the pictures of Tulum are breathtaking. I have always loved Debi Mazar and her books Super Tuscan and Extra Virgin are fantastic. She and her husband make delicious and creative Italian dishes that are beautiful too. The Love and Lemons Cookbook is a lovely and handy vegetarian guide to meals and interesting recipes.
I love that Molly Sims combines creative projects like party planning and decor with projects that are neccessary, like organization. Organization, in my opinion, makes the creative process much more fun and less stressful. Flutter Magazine is catagorized as a bridal magazine but I couldn’t resist picking up a copy. The water color illustrations are beautiful, the travel pieces are so inspiring and the styling is romantic and beyond lovely. The Magnolia Journal is a magazine that I love. The decor ideas, recipes, and creative articles are really fun. This is a great guide to bringing inspiration into every day with inspired but approachable ideas.
