If you are looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate with your crew, a Valentine’s cheese board is the way to go. My daughter found these adorable heart shaped crackers at the local gourmet market and we knew we had to use them! We gathered our favorite things to snack on and made a pretty presentation.
We chose a mix of creamy cheeses like Boursin and goat cheese and harder cheeses like Parmesan and Gruyère. It’s nice to have a bounty of berries to snack on as well. I chose raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. I also added green grapes, orange slices, and kiwi to make the board even prettier.
I chose Kalamata and large green olives and marinated them in olive oil and chili flakes. I like to add my favorite snacks like Marcona almonds and pistachios to the mix.
I rolled the goat cheese in fresh cracked pepper. It pairs really nicely with crisps and blackberry jam from Blackberry Farm. I also added honey, which is nice with hard cheeses like Parmesan. I added fresh rosemary sprigs to garnish the board. They are so fragrant and festive.
