Louisville Lately Vol. 3

Louisville Lately Vol. 3

My husband and I have made an effort to get out and have more date nights in Louisville lately. Even if we can only squeeze in an hour on a weekend evening, it’s good to have some couple time. We have popped into some fun new places and have enjoyed mixing it up.

Image: Level Up

Level Up – For a Christmas gift, my husband bought us an all access pass to Level Up. They offer fun and informative classes in cool venues. I have been so impressed with the classes I have attended. We learned to make macarons, scented soy candles, and succulent wreaths. I upped my game in cookie decorating and flower arranging too. We even took classes in photography, SEO and blog monitization. I have absolutely loved this. It means that date nights or girl’s nights are not limited to dinner or cocktails. I really love the classes beacuse they are on trend and teach you valuable skills that you can use on your own. I definitely plan to try some of the projects in the near future.

Dollface Brows & Beauty – I have had my brows done here several times and loved the results. I also got the prettiest manicure with fun nail art here too. They have expanded the services they offer and the interior is darling. The service is lovely and Jess and the girls are really fun to chat with!

Nouvelle Bar & Bottle – This wine bar is the perfect place to pop into for a quick date. The interior is cool and the wine list is fun. They have 45 wines and three pour options, so you could get a flight and a couple of small plates and make an evening of it.

Sarino

Sarino – I really loved this Italian restaurant in Germantown. We went for Valentine’s Day and had a lovely time. We really enjoyed the bruschetta, the farro and arugula salad and the desserts. The interior is pretty and the bar would be a fun place to grab a cocktail.

Bar Vetti

Bar Vetti – We came here for dinner on a snowy evening and were smitten. The interior is really cool and the presentation is too. We started out with pretty cocktails and loved the salad and pizza we ordered. They also have a great lunch menu. They work with local ingredients and on their instagram feed, they shared the most amazing salad made from farmers market finds.

Red Herring

Red Herring – We had a cocktail here and it was fun. The night we went was really busy and we were happy to snag a table upstairs. The mood is fun and I love the neighborhood too. There is a champagne bar opening accross the street which I am sure will only make things more lively and celebratory.

Lox

Lox – Lox was a fun place to grab bagels and bubbles on a Sunday morning. I love the interior at Rye and having a Nancy’s bagel with scallion schmear and a grapefruit mimosa was fun.

Louisville Cream

Louisville Cream – I tried a pint of this yummy ice cream last year and was so excited to see they opened up a shop last summer. The flavors are fun and inventive and it’s really great to have a family friendly place to grab a treat when shopping in Nulu in the afternoon!

Hi-Five Doughnuts – We stopped into this bustling shop and picked up some fun doughnuts! The specials were insane and we loved the chocolate glazed with chocolate chips. The doughnuts were cakey and super decadent.

Lupo – We stopped in this cute pizza place for dinner as a family and really enjoyed it. We loved the Roasted and Toasted pizza and the endive salad. Our kids really enjoyed the dessert special too!

Quills

Quills on Main Street – My husband works remotely and sometimes enjoys working from a coffee shop in the afternoon. This Quills location is the perfect place to do just that. The interior is beautiful and airy and the coffee is always great. I defintely want to stop in for lunch too!

Cheers!
