30a Lately

30a Lately

Are you planning your fall break? If you are, you should visit the 30a! Let me share what’s new on the 30a lately! It’s the perfect time of year to head to the beach! The sun is shining and the air is still warm. Afternoons on the beach are the perfect respite after being back in school for a bit! My favorite thing on fall break is the butterfly migration. It’s pretty magical to cross the dunes to get the beach and see butterflies flitting around!

Grayton Beach has some fun new things going on!

Tribe Kelley Surf Post is a really cool surf shop that has great gear and a fun organic beauty line!

Deja Vu has moved to Grayton. I love this shop so much. They have the most darling pieces right now. They have pajamas, cover-ups, and shorts that are on my list for sure!

Black Bear Bread Co. is a trendy coffee shop, bakery, and cafe. It’s a great spot to grab a coffee or have a light lunch while shopping.

There are so many new things going on in Seaside. It’s fun to see how things have changed and grown! Here are the highlights!

Harper was excited to try Five Daughters doughnut truck. The packaging is really pretty and the doughnuts are similar to eclairs! I recommend enjoying them on the spot!

Amavida has moved to a new location and the branding has been freshened up. They also offer a coffee subscription that Dan is loving. If you miss your favorite brew on the beach, you can have it delivered twice a month!

The Art of Simple has moved next to Amavida and has the most adorable offerings! They have darling decorative items and the most fun beauty selection. As always, they carry the best seashells in the area.

BFF is a new frozen drink stop located right next to Great Southern. I tried the Frose and Dan tried the Strawberry Limeade. We thought the drinks were fun and refreshing on a hot afternoon. The Frose is super Instagrammable and you can purchase a steel straw. You can just throw it in your bag and reuse it.

Perspicacity has been re-envisioned as Cabana! It’s still the same beachy boho vibe with a bit of the Seaside Style brand thrown in! The Seaside Style has moved in near Modica Market and has expanded quite a bit. They are offering all of the classic shirts and gear, and now offer new items like on-trend beach sweaters and higher-end housewares.

They have also built a really pretty boardwalk that is great for an evening stroll along the dunes. Currently, Bud and Alley’s additionally has a beach bar and they are making some pretty exciting expansions! We are excited to see it on our next trip!

We love to stay in WaterSound and we are always so happy there. Our teens can walk to the Hub or Bruno’s Pizza to listen to live music. We can feel comfortable with them wandering a bit while we are nearby. We rented a really pretty house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Now, the houses come with golf carts and bikes! It’s a really nice amenity!

The Watersound Beach Club has just opened a giant new expansion. It is so nice that you hardly want to leave. They have opened a brand new zero-entry pool with a lazy river. Additionally, the seating area has doubled. That means that finding a shady cabana or chairs with umbrellas is no problem.

There is also a new casual Mexican restaurant offering tacos and the like. It’s really wonderful because it has a new area with casual covered seating! Last but not least, there is the shop, which is stocked with Sun Bum products and cute gear!

One of my favorite amenities is that your beach setups are included. This is really key to me! That means everyone gets a shady chair to enjoy the beach as long as they want to! No fear of getting a sunburn or everyone crowding under one umbrella!

Alys Beach is just as lovely as ever. We enjoyed a fun dinner at George’s and a super chic cocktail at Neat! The Alys Shoppe is stocked with fun gear. I saw some cute Spiritual Gangster tees and Alo Yoga leggings there.

Raw and Juicy has taken over Fonville Press, and it is fun to see their spin on things. Now, in addition to coffee and tea, they offer fun menu items like yummy avocado toast and Beauty Dust adaptogen powder.

Rosemary Beach has made some fun changes too!

They have opened a new Rosemary Beach shop and the merch is pretty cute. It’s definitely an upgrade on the classic Rosemary gear!

Disco is a fun new boutique that has just opened. I love the brands that they carry like Love Shack Fancy and Show Me Your Mumu.

Stellar has opened a location next to Rosemary’s Amavida. It’s stocked with cute clothes and accessories for tweens and ladies. I saw some really cute cover-ups and Harper found shorts that she thought were adorable.

The Daughters Kitchen is owned and operated by Five Daughters. In addition to offering their doughnuts, this location offers other yummy options. Dan and I loved the avocado toast and Harper went crazy for the Acai bowl! Jackson, a purist, stuck with the grilled cheese. 😉

I can’t wait to get back to the beach!

Cheers!
