It’s Mardi Gras and it’s time to celebrate! Nothing screams “Let the Good Times Roll” more than classic hurricanes! When in New Orleans, it is always fun to go to Pat O’Brien’s to have the original. These cocktails are fun and decadent! I chose to garnish mine with Amarena cherries and make my own passionfruit syrup which makes it even more special.
Passionfruit syrup is really simple to make and the outcome is nothing short of amazing. The syrup is so fragrant and delicious. You just use a portion for this cocktail, so you could also use this to drizzle over cheesecake or other desserts to send them over the top. Using freshly squeezed juice is also really key to creating a fabulous cocktail. It really levels up your bar game! You can find more great cocktail recipes here and here!
